The Walker Station Elementary PTO has several positions for the 2024-2025 school year, and we need your help filling these positions. Below is a brief description for our available spots. If you are interested in co-chairing a committee with a friend, you are welcome to do that too!

AVAILABLE POSITIONS

Community Nights

The Community Night Chair organizes food truck night fundraiser events throughout the school year. Other community events can be considered with the Executive Board.  

Donuts for Dad

The Donuts for Dad Chair organizes the annual Donuts for Dad event (typically held in October).

Fall Fundraiser

We are looking for someone to plan and execute our fundraiser during the Fall semester with a team of volunteers. Historically, this has been a cash drive, but we are open to other options. This usually occurs close to the beginning of the school year, so planning will begin in the summer. 

Muffins for Mom

The Muffins for Mom Chair organizes the annual Muffins for Mom event (typically held in May).

Spirit Store

The Spirit Store chair is responsible for designing spirit wear for the school year, finding a vendor, helping manage the purchasing and delivery of spirit wear. A background in graphic design is a plus.

Sponsorship

We are looking for someone to obtain annual sponsors for the 2024-2025 school year. This job requires reaching out to local businesses (can be via phone, email, or in person) and is the perfect job for someone who is unable to volunteer at the school or during school hours. We would like for this person to begin reaching out to companies over the summer. 

Spring Fundraiser- Silent Auction

We are in need of someone to manage the silent auction team for our Spring Fundraiser. This person will help obtain donations (mostly via email, mail, and phone, but in-person requests are also options), manage the auction website, and help get items delivered to those that win items after the Spring Fundraiser. Donation requests will need to start at the end of the first semester, but this is a great position for someone wanting to volunteer from home or outside of school hours.

Spring Fundraiser- Concessions

We are in need of someone to manage the concessions for our Spring Fundraiser. This person will help obtain snack and drink donations, make purchases if needed, and manage the concessions stands with other volunteers the day of the event. 

Kindergarten Grade Level Coordinator

The Kindergarten Grade Level Coordinator will work with the Grade Level Team Lead teacher for any needs needed by the grade throughout the school year. They will work with Room Parents to organize volunteers throughout the year and help plan and coordinator the two holiday parties in the school year.
