WSE will welcome Grandparents to join students for lunch on Tuesday, November 18th. This date coincides with the Book Fair taking place in the library. This email contains details about Grandparents Day including a link to RSVP, adjusted lunch times, and logistics for the event.

RSVP
We encourage Grandparents to complete the Microsoft Form to indicate they are planning to attend. Please submit one form per student. We will sort the form by grade level to help us anticipate which students will have visitors and how many seats to prepare. It will also help us expedite the check-in process.

RSVP Form Link: HERE

Please Note – Due to limited space, we ask that parents DO NOT attend this event to allow the Grandparents time with the children. Parents can continue to sign up as lunch visitors through the sign-up genius on other days. We understand MANY students may not have visitors on this day. Students without visitors will get to sit together and still may attend the Book Fair before school with a parent (T-F 7:30-8:00 am) and during outclass times with their class.

Arrival Information
It is important to note that we encourage Grandparents to arrive 15-minutes before the adjusted lunch time. Grandparents will enter the building through the Extended Day entrance and be able to sit in the Extended Day room until the lunch time begins. All Grandparents MUST bring a picture ID to check-in to the school during the school day!

Adjusted Lunch Times
Please see the adjusted lunch times below. Grandparents are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes prior to the lunchtime. Students may continue to shop in the book fair for 15-minutes after the lunch time with their Grandparent.

Lunch Purchases
Grandparents may purchase a Thanksgiving lunch from the cafeteria for $5.25. If purchasing a lunch from the cafeteria, we ask that Grandparents bring $5.25 in EXACT CASH. Limited change is kept on campus as most students purchase lunch through an electronic account.

Book Fair
If Grandparents would like to shop at the Book Fair, students will be released by a teacher after eating lunch to accompany their Grandparent to the Book Fair. Ms. Cutshall will make an announcement when it is time for each grade level of students to return to class. Grandparents CANNOT escort students back to class. Students will return to class by the scheduled time, and Grandparents will exit the front doors of the building.

Siblings
Due to the number of students in each grade and the expected number of guests, all students and visitors will need to adhere to the times listed above. We will not pull siblings from classes to attend lunch at a different time or attend the Book Fair at a different time.
